| In Memory of Angela Doumitt |
The STAR Center is saddened by the passing of Angela Elizabeth Doumitt, daughter of founders Margaret and Chuck Doumitt
Angela Elizabeth Doumitt, one of our community Angels, passed away at 4:15 p.m. on Friday, August 19th, 2005. Her strength inspired everyone who was fortunate enough to encounter her. Her courageous and loving spirit shone its creative light in so many ways, the grandest of which is The Star Center. She was one of the two guiding spirits and enduring souls that moved her family to found The Star Center, which brings hope to countless children and adults with disabilities. She was a woman whose strong sense of style and shopping was only surpassed by her passion and love for family, friends, art, and music. Her physical loss will be deeply felt by her family members and friends, and by all those her loving embrace and kisses reached on a daily basis. We don't say goodbye to Angela because her smile, joy, and courage will stay with the Doumitt family to continue this loving journey. Angela Doumitt is the daughter of Charles and Margaret Doumitt and is survived by her siblings: Rose, Theresa, Chuck, and George; and their families. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to The Star Center Fund at the West Tennessee Healthcare Foundation, 731-660-8770 or The Batten Disease Support and Research Foundation for research purposes, 120 Humphries Drive, Ste 2, Reynoldsburg, OH 43068. |
